Test Platform
We downloaded, installed, and tested 1Click DVD Copy 5 to run on two test computers. One computer was "Home-Brewed" with an Athlon AMD 64 X2 4800 Dual-Core processor running at 2.4GHz, 1GB of memory, 100GB hard drive, and a Sony DRU-510A DVD/RW drive 32X (CD) and 12X (DVD). The other computer, a Gateway E06500D, with an Intel Pentium(R) running at 3GHz, 1GB of memory, 100GB hard drive, and a Plextor PX-708A DVD/RW drive (40X (CD) and 12X (DVD).
Installation & Test Results
The installation was flawless on both test computers. The original DVD movie was "Head of State" (2003) starring Chris Rock and Bernie Mac. The movie runtime was 93 minutes. Upon inserting the original DVD movie and pressing the "Start" button, 15 minutes lapsed until we were prompted to insert blank DVD media. The DVD movie burning process was less than 10 minutes. We then inserted the copied DVD movie in our DVD player and the copy quality was that of the original to include all of the extras and menus options we selected. The same process was perform on our second test computer and it took 16 minutes to copy the movie and approximately 9 minutes to burn the movie to DVD.
At program launch we were presented with the 1Click DVD Copy 5 GUI interface. We inserted our DVD movie and 1Click DVD Copy 5 quickly scanned it in.

Pros
1Click DVD Copy 5 measured up well under our test conditions. The user interface was very easy to use. It was hard to believe that it was as simple as inserting a DVD and clicking a start button, but it was. During both the copy and burning process, 1Click DVD Copy 5 ran without a problem. The feature set included options to select any episodes of extras on a DVD movie, subtitles, languages, movie menus, and DTS audio.
Cons
Before use, we had to install a third-party DVD decrypting program. It was a small program and very easy to use. The overrides CSS copy-protection found on DVD movies. Once it’s installed, it runs in the background and you don’t need to worry about it. (The third-party DVD decrypting program is available as a free download).
Quality of Copy
The final copy was an exact replica of the original. A blindfold test could not tell the difference. You really have to see and experience this for yourself to appreciate the quality of the copied DVD.
Customer/Technical Support
We Emailed LG Software Innovations during normal working hours just to see how quickly they would respond. Within an hour, a response was received. Their website has an excellent customer support system in place as well as an excellent forum.
Final Comments
1Click DVD Copy 5 is a nice compact DVD movie copy application. While it does not have all of the features of its big brother, 1Click DVD Copy Pro, it produces high-quality DVD copies. It was truly "Plug ‘n Play" program. You insert your original DVD and click start. Before use, you will install a small free DVD decrypting program that runs in the background. Don’t worry, the program is kind to your computer and will not consume a lot a CPU cycles. 1Click DVD Copy 5 is also Vista compatible. Also 1Click DVD Copy 5 has the proprietary CPRX technology that is able to copy virtually any DVD movie in circulation. Something the other DVD movie copy applications cannot confidently claim. So if you are looking for a fast and basic DVD movie copy program that produces exact replicas of your DVD movies, then we recommend 1Click DVD Copy 5. If you want more control and features, then consider 1Click DVD Copy Pro. It costs and extra twenty dollars.
We cannot say enough about LG Software Innovations DVD Copy software products. All are excellent cutting-edge products that come with terrific customer support.
